Other tips and helpful suggestions:

When in doubt, go GREEN
All green foods are alkalizing. Below is a list of alkaline vs. acidic foods. Check your ph or you can almost assume that you are more acid than alkaline. Adding chlorophyll to your daily drinking water can make a huge difference in your internal alkaline environment.

Hydration
Drink water. It is recommended that you drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces. Therefore, if you weigh 160lbs, drink 80 oz. of water per day. For every caffeinated beverage you consume, add one more cup to make up for the loss due to the diuretic effects of caffeine.

Herbal Infusions
An herbal infusion is similar to tea but uses a greater quantity of plant material, and is steeped for a longer period of time. This allows the cell walls in the plant to break down and the important minerals and nutrients to be released. By infusing plant material, you save your own digestive system from having to break down pills. Infusions give you an immediate source of nutrients.

How to make an infusion:
-Fill a glass jar approximately 1/4-1/3 full of plant material (i.e. nettles, red clover, etc.).
-Fill jar with boiling water and stir in all the plant.
-Cover with a lid and let sit overnight or at least 4 hours.
-Strain and drink throughout the day.
Refrigerate what you are not going to drink that day!
