Jennifer Waters’ formal education includes a Bachelors degree from Friends World College and a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Oriental Medical Institute of Hawaii. She is a life long learner and currently doing advanced training in Maya Abdominal Massage. As a dedicated yoga student for the past 20 years, Jennifer studied and taught yoga throughout the world. In 1995, she was certified to teach "Meridian Resistance Stretching", an acupuncture meridian based yoga. Her studies of the physical arts have also included Tai Qi Chuan, Pushing Hands and Kung Fu.

Life Source’s logo is the arms of the Tibetan-Chinese thousand-armed goddess named Ushnishasitatapattra, who is a special form of the goddess Tara. Both of these special deities embody wisdom and compassion in the Buddhist tradition. Her thousand arms represent her willingness and commitment to help all beings, no matter how many.
